This project aims to bring nature back indoors by rethinking how we design for pet birds. Most bird utensils today are made from synthetic plastics, designed from human perspective rather than avian instincts. By repurposing fallen pinecones, a natural chewing material, this modular and biodegradable tiered nut stand creates a dynamic space, reconnecting birds with organic textures found in wild.
It is removable, reconfigurable, and expandable, mimicking natural surfaces and encouraging birds to explore and forage intuitively, while still being functional for humans. Using natural adhesives and compostable materials, it fosters a sustainable, interactive, and enriching environment for both species, enhancing the bond between humans and their pet birds.
