Pluma is a portable, eco-friendly bactericidal cleaning device that uses plasma-activated water (PAW) generated from air and a small amount of water. By combining ultrasonic water mist with non-thermal plasma (NTP) created via corona discharge, Pluma produces reactive species with strong antimicrobial properties. These are delivered through “ion wind” without the need for any chemical disinfectants.

Designed for accessibility and sustainability, Pluma addresses hygiene challenges in areas with limited infrastructure or resources, making it especially valuable post-pandemic. The device underwent multiple design iterations, including bio-testing and CFD simulation, to optimize its sterilization performance and user experience. Pluma stands out by offering lab-grade disinfection in a compact, handheld form using only air and water—making it both effective and environmentally conscious.
